Advancing to Fellowship - Meeting & Video Conference
October 1, 2009 - 1:00pm-3:00pm

Have you thought about advancing to Fellowship?

Did you know that some governing boards request all candidates presented have the initials, FACHE, following their name?

Maximize your professional potential by earning the premier credential in healthcare management. Advancing to Fellow status in the American College of Healthcare Executives is a demonstration of your professional and personal commitment to leadership and management excellence.

Two Fellows, Ellie Heinrich and John Fick, will discuss the benefits and the resources to achieve Fellow Certification.  The Board of Governors Examination in Healthcare Management remains a key standard for becoming board certified and earning the FACHE credential and they will review key points of the exam.

They will also address the additional criteria for advancement including requirements related to academic preparation, tenure as an ACHE Member, experience in healthcare management, continuing education, references, and professional and community/civic involvement.

This is the year for you to succeed in becoming a Fellow!!!!

**Participation in two healthcare and two community/civic activities is required for acceptance as a Fellow. This session can be applied toward the healthcare activities.

A certificate will be given at the Grand Rapids location and mailed to those attending via videoconference.**

Talent management and succession planning are important to the successful operation of every organization. Together, they constitute a systematic process for preparing people to meet an organization’s needs for talent over time. They are designed to ensure the continued effective performance of an organization by developing employees at all levels, while paying particular attention to the identification and training of high-potential candidates for managerial or leadership positions.

Talent management and succession planning enable an organization to meet its needs for leadership by assessing the competencies required for key positions, nurturing and developing the talents needed to fill those positions, and implementing procedures and protocols for managerial and leadership replacement when it becomes necessary.
