The Director Materials Management is responsible for the leadership to ensure cost effective, quality-oriented purchasing, distribution and inventory control.  This position oversees the overall department management, including process assessment, staffing (hiring, firing, disciplinary, evaluations, record keeping of 10 professionals), budgeting, establishing departmental goals, implementing department strategies, coordination of database upgrades and/or management, day to day operations, work assignments, development of policies and procedures, education and performance improvement activities.

Located in Petoskey, Michigan, Northern Michigan Regional Hospital is a 243-bed regional referral center, serving residents in 24 counties across northern lower Michigan and the eastern part of the Upper Peninsula. The medical staff includes over 160 physicians from nearly all medical and surgery specialties- cardiology, neurosciences, oncology, orthopaedics, maternal and child health, mental health, neonatology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, renal dialysis, and surgical services among others.

Administrator of Neuro Care Center

Special Tree Rehabilitation System, based in Romulus, Michigan, has retained The Whittaker Group to conduct the search for the Administrator of their NeuroCare Center.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Administrator will be responsible for operations and will provide leadership to those responsible for nursing, clinical, operations, and support services of the 43 bed inpatient NeuroCare Center.  The facility serves clients with traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and persons with multiple trauma.  Close cooperation with intensive therapy services makes this an outstanding interdisciplinary niche rehabilitation facility. This professional is expected to provide dynamic leadership to the facility to help all staff achieve exceptional performance to provide superior client care. 

There must be a strong commitment to embodying the mission and culture of Special Tree including the importance of an engaged, value-driven, client-focused, interdisciplinary team.  This individual needs to be a strong, strategic thinker and a proven leader with the ability to implement the strategic plan with focus on services, fiscal efficiency and market trends.

A bachelor's degree with current Michigan Nursing Home Administrator license is required or eligible to sit for the exam.  Compassionate, empowered and service-oriented leadership with strong organizational, and communication skills are vital to the success of the selected candidate. Experience with facility planning, managed care contracting, electronic medical records (EMR) assessment/implementation and IT upgrading is a definite plus.
With 25 facilities and over 400 employees throughout Southeastern and Mid-Michigan, Special Tree is one of the state’s leading neurorehabilitation providers serving an average of 450 patients annually.  They are a comprehensive, Joint Commission and CARF accredited health-care organization that provides a continuum of neurorehabilitation services to adults and children who have experienced brain injuries, spinal cord injuries and multiple traumas. 
Special Tree Rehabilitation System continues to increase in complexity and scope.  Current and future initiatives include extensive facility expansion, EMR implementation and IT system upgrading.

President and Chief Executive Officer

Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the President and CEO is responsible for the overall operations, including the establishment of short- and l9ong-range goals, objectives, plans and policies, subject only  to the approval of the Board.  The President & CEO represents the hospital to professional societies, governmental agencies, other health care institutions, the financial community and other external publics.  The President & CEO also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees.

Mercy Memorial Hospital (www.mercymemorial.org) is licensed for 238 beds, a full-service community hospital which is part of the Mercy memorial Hospital System that serves a population center of 140,000 people.

Requirements:  Masters in Business or Health Administration or related required.  Must possess at least 10 years progressively more responsible administrative experience in freestanding community hospital settings.  High-level problem solving and analytical skills, and effective interpersonal skills to work with a wide range of professional and non-professional associates in all areas are required.  Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary to provide leadership and interact in extremely sensitive and/or complex situations.  Excellent team facilitation, listening, and collaboration skills are also required.

Compliance Officer, Government Programs
Status: Full time with benefits

Base Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field required. Healthcare compliance certification desirable. Minimum two years experience in healthcare compliance in Medicaid oversight. Proven organizational and communications skills. Salary: Commensurate with experience, full benefits.

Venture Behavioral Health (VBH) is an administrator (benefits manager) of Medicaid behavioral health (mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse) benefits acting as Michigan Department of Community Health’s regional administrator (known as a PIHP – Prepaid Inpatient Health Plan) for the Medicaid benefit plan in the five southwestern Michigan counties of Barry, Berrien, Branch, Calhoun and Van Buren. Venture covers approximately 3,000 square miles, 83,000 eligible Medicaid recipients and has a $65 million annual Medicaid budget. Summit Pointe is the Host Board and VBH is a DBA of Summit Pointe. Summit Pointe is a Community Mental Health Authority with separate and equal compliance responsibilities and obligations. Main offices are located in Battle Creek, Michigan. Frequent regional travel in SW Michigan required.

Develops and ensures comprehensive and effective federal programs (Medicaid, Medicare) and state programs (General Fund) corporate compliance program for Venture Behavioral Health and its CMHSP Host Board Summit Pointe. Assures fulfillment of Medicaid compliance-related statutory, regulatory and contractual obligations of the PIHP, its affiliates and of Summit Pointe and its contractors related to the above-mention programs, especially but not solely related to fraud, abuse and waste.

Director of Nursing

The applicant should have at least 3 years experience as a Director of Nursing, and will have 75 – 80 employees reporting to them. This is for one of the premiere facilities in Muskegon, a beautiful building on the campus of Mercy Hospital. This is a 98 bed facility that runs about 95 patients at a time.

        All beds are dually certified Medicare
        This facility operates on an “Eden Philosophy”
        Salary range is mid to upper $70ks
